As you would by hand, but written down and replayable
Muppy connects over SSH to the hosts you enrol, runs tasks on them and reports their state. Every run is traced and logged, and can be started or scheduled from the interface.

On a production cluster, four TLS certificate chains were broken, the oldest for 258 days, after 6.3 million failed renewals. The information was there; nobody was warned. Muppy monitoring stays silent when everything is fine and never shows “OK” when it doesn’t know.

With Muppy Vault, SSH keys, tokens and passwords are encrypted in the database. The master key is stored nowhere: it stays in your password manager. No extra secrets server to run.

The Sunray server is never in the request path: the worker in front of each application decides from its cache. If the server goes down, open sessions stay valid until they expire (24 hours at most); only new sign-ins wait for it to come back.

The questions we get asked before signing
Where is my data hosted?
Wherever you decide. With Muppy Enterprise, the whole platform runs in your own infrastructure: oursbl.eu stays outside the perimeter, receives only usage telemetry (the number of hosts and their size, no application data) and only connects over SSH at your request, through a firewall rule that expires on its own.
Will I become dependent on your tools?
Muppy manages infrastructure the way you would by hand, but in writing: Ubuntu LTS, PostgreSQL, Traefik, LXD, Kubernetes. PostgreSQL high availability relies on pglookout and point-in-time recovery on WAL-G. Standard building blocks your teams already know.
Can an AI agent break my production?
Not without you. Data is read-only by default, methods run freely in development and test, and any action elsewhere becomes an authorisation request that a human approves. Every command is logged and no secret is ever returned.
How much does it cost?
Each project is quoted individually, based on the number of hosts, the availability you need and how it is hosted. The Manganese beta is free. Book 30 minutes and you will leave with a written proposal.
How can I check what you claim?
Everything is published on docs.muppy.io: how it works, known limitations, network flows, release notes and security fixes ranked by severity. And this site itself runs on Manganese.
